Predictions 26-29.09.2022

Hungary vs Italy | Nations League (26.09.2022, 18:45)

It is the moment of truth for the Nations League Group 3. Hungary and Italy on Monday compete to access to the finals of the tournament. The Magyars are first with ten points, the Azzurri are second with eight points, and both have the obligation to achieve first place.

Mancini has found a combative national team after the debacle of the World Cup qualifiers and hopes to achieve an important result to start the new cycle that will have to lead the selection to the next European Championships in 2024 and, above all, to qualify for the World Cup after the failures of the last two editions of the qualifiers.

Form Guide

Hungary LWWLDW

Fans of Hungary will be hoping for a result similar to their previous Nations League game, which was a victory over Germany by a score of 1-0.

During that game, Hungary had 27% possession of the ball and 7 shots on goal, with just 3 of those shots hitting the target. Ádám Szalai scored Hungary’s only goal in the seventeenth minute. The team that they were competing against, Germany, had ten shots on goal, with three of them actually hitting the target.

The most recent findings demonstrate that the Hungary defensive unit has shown a great deal of resiliency. Because Hungary has been so strong defensively, the number of goals that have been scored against them over the course of their most recent six matches stands at 4.

Italy WLDWDL

Italy comes into this match on the heels of a Nations League victory, having defeated England by a score of 1-0 in their most recent match.

During that match, Italy held 44 percent of the possession and had 10 shots on goal, with three of them finding their mark. Giacomo Raspadori was the lone player to score for Italy, and his goal came in the 68th minute. Their competitors from England had a total of 14 shots on goal, only four of which were on target.

In the previous six games that Italy has participated in, there have been a total of 20 goals scored, which works out to an average of 3.33 goals scored each contest. This demonstrates their hunger for action-packed contests. There have been 12 of these goals scored by opposing teams.

Injured and suspended

Hungary: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Italy: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Hungary vs Italy Predicted XI

Hungary Predicted XI: Gulacsi, Lang, Orban, Szalai, Fiola, Kerkez, Schafer, Gazdag, Nagy, Szoboszlai, Szalai.

Italy Predicted XI: Donnarumma, Toloi, Bonucci, Bastoni, Di Lorenzo, Dimarco, Barella, Jorginho, Frattesi, Raspadori, Immobile.

Prediction

The home team needs two out of three results to reach the final, while the Azzurri can only win. In addition, the hosts have an iron defense and therefore will play a very careful game, leaving little space and slowing down the pace. It is likely that the challenge can be decided in a single episode.

We have a hunch that Italy’s current lineup, which we believe should have a little edge over Hungary’s current team, will make it difficult for Hungary to find the back of the net.

As a result, we anticipate a game that will be extremely close throughout its entirety, with Italy emerging victorious with a score of 0-1 at the match’s conclusion.

England vs Germany | Nations League (26.09.2022, 18:45)

England and Germany compete against each other on Monday, September 26 on the sixth day of the Nations League with no more goals to achieve. After losing to Italy, England is mathematically relegated to League B. The Germans, on the other hand, are no longer in the race for first place because their six points are not enough to catch or pass Hungary, which is in first place with 10 points.

It was a huge disappointment for both of them, who now challenge each other to begin to understand what went wrong in a very delicate moment of the season; in fact, the World Cup will start in two months and no mistakes will be admitted.

Form Guide

England WLDDLL

After suffering a 1-0 defeat to Italy in their previous Nations League match, England will be hoping for a better showing after their performance.

During that match, England held 56% of the possession and had 14 shots on goal, with 4 of them finding their mark. Italy had ten shots on goal, with three of them actually hitting the target. Giacomo Raspadori scored the only goal for Italy in the 68th minute.

Germany DDDDWL

Germany and its fans will be hoping for a better outcome this time around after suffering a loss to Hungary in action during the Nations League the last time they faced off against one another.

In that game, Germany held possession for 73% of the time and had 10 shots on goal, with 3 of them finding the target. Hungary had seven shots on goal, of which three were on target. Ádám Szalai scored a goal for Hungary in the seventeenth minute.

In the run-up to this meeting, Germany has been dangerous moving forward, as seen by the fact that they have scored 9 goals in their previous 6 matches. But Germany has also had trouble keeping goals out, as shown by the fact that they have given up goals in six of the above games.

Injured and suspended

England: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

Germany: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

England vs Germany Predicted XI

England Predicted XI: Ramsdale, Stones, Tomori, Maguire, Trippier, Chilwell, Rice, Bellingham, Mount, Sterling, Kane.

Germany Predicted XI: ter Stegen, Hofmann, Suele, Schlotterbeck, Raum, Kimmich, Gundogan, Musiala, Mueller, Sane, Havertz.

Prediction

We believe that it will be difficult for Germany to score against this England squad, who we believe should be able to score a goal themselves and come out on top.

Because of this, our prediction is that England will emerge victorious in a close match by a score of 1-0 after the first ninety minutes.

Romania vs Bosnia | Nations League (22.09.2022, 18:45)

Bosnia has already won the first place in the standings of Group 3 of League B, but there is still one game to play. It is a classic head-to-tail, as Romania is at the bottom of the group. Yet the chances are good for the hosts, perhaps focusing on the lack of motivation of the guests, who will certainly experiment and give space to the second lines.

In any case, the Bosnians have made an excellent run so far, being still unbeaten and having taken first place in the standings with one round to spare. Montenegro, currently second and chased by Finland, could not do anything.

Form Guide

Romania DLLWLD

Romania will play in this match because their Nations League game against Finland ended in a 1-1 tie, which means they have to play.

During that game, Romania held a 52% possession advantage and had 16 shots on goal, with 6 of them finding the target. Florin Tănase was the lone player to record a point for Romania (in the 52nd minute). On the other hand, Finland had seven shots on goal, with only two of them really hitting the target. The goal was scored by Finland’s Teemu Pukki in the twelfth minute.

Recently, Romania has not maximized the potential of its opportunities. Over the course of their last six matches, they have scored just four goals against the opponents that they have faced as the opposing team. During those matches, Romania has also been on the receiving end of a total of 9 goals that have been scored against them.

Bosnia WDWDWW

Bosnia’s last game was in the UEFA Nations League, where they beat Montenegro 1-0.

During that match, Bosnia held 54% of the possession and had 13 shots on goal, with just 3 of them hitting the target. Ermedin Demirović, the only player to do so, scored the lone goal for Bosnia at the 45-minute mark. Five shots were taken by Montenegro, with two of them being on target.

In five of Bosnia’s most recent six matches against other teams, the total number of goals scored by both Bosnia and those teams’ opponents was quite low.

Injured and suspended

Romania: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Bosnia: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Romania vs Bosnia Predicted XI

Romania Predicted XI: Radu, Ratiu, Rus, Nedelcearu, Bancu, Marin, Baluta, Tanase, Man, Alibec, Sorescu.

Bosnia Predicted XI: Sehic, Dedic, Hadzikadunic, Sanicanin, Kolasinac, Besic, Hadziahmetovic, Stevanovic, Gojak, Demirovic, Prevljak.

Prediction

We get the impression that Bosnia will need to exert a great deal of pressure in order to have any chance of scoring against this Romanian team, which we believe will eventually score and take the lead.

Because of this, we think the game will be close the whole time, with Romania winning 1-0.

Sweden vs Slovenia | Nations League (22.09.2022, 18:45)

Until recently, Sweden and Slovenia would have had a clear favorite and an announced result. But Sweden’s results over the past year have been far from good, and the disappointment of not making it to the World Cup has been added to by a Nations League that hasn’t brought many smiles.

Sweden has lost its last four games and seven of its last nine. The disappointment with Georgia a year ago started the team on a downward spiral that hasn’t stopped, and the team’s strong point, its defense, has failed in the last few games. Three goals conceded by the Norwegian neighbors, four in Serbia: Group B’s survival, however tenuous, is in jeopardy.

Slovenia, which lost the first leg with the Scandinavians, found a long-awaited success in Ljubljana. The selection is difficult to beat and has decent talent between midfield and defense, as well as obviously fielding captain Oblak, whose saves often make the difference.

Form Guide

Sweden LWLLLL

Sweden’s last Nations League game was a 4-1 loss to Serbia, so they will want to avoid a similar result here.

During that game, Sweden held 47% of the possession and had 10 shots on goal, with 4 of those shots finding the target. Viktor Claesson was the lone player to score for Sweden (at the 15-minute mark). 14 shots were taken on goal by Serbia, with 7 of them being on target. Aleksandar Mitrović scored for Serbia in the 18th, 45th, and 48th minutes, while Saša Lukić scored in the 70th minute.

Sweden has only sometimes failed to make a concession. Sweden will be worried about the fact that their defense has been broken in 5 of their last 6 games, leading to a total of 12 goals given up.

Slovenia DLLDDW

In their most recent match in the Nations League, Slovenia defeated Norway by a score of 2-1. They will come into this match with that momentum.

During that match, Slovenia held a 42% possession advantage and had 9 shots on goal, with 4 of those shots hitting the target. On the opposite side of the field, Norway had 13 shots on goal, five of which were on target. Erling Haaland scored the goal for Norway in the 47th minute.

Injured and suspended

Sweden: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Slovenia: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Sweden vs Slovenia Predicted XI

Sweden Predicted XI: Oblak; Karnicnik, Bijol, Mevlja, Brekalo, Sikosek; Zajc, Cerin, Kurtic; Sesko, Verbic.

Slovenia Predicted XI: Nyland; Ryerson, Strandberg, Ostigard, Bjorkan; Odegaard, Berge, Thorsby; Elyounoussi, Haaland, Sorloth.

Prediction

When we look at these two teams together, we think that Slovenia has a good chance of scoring a goal against this Sweden team, but we don’t think that will be enough to keep them from losing.

After 90 minutes of play, the result is a close 2-1 in favor of Sweden as the winner.

Norway vs Serbia | Nations League (27.09.2022, 18:45)

Oslo, Ullevaal Stadion: One of the most interesting matches of this Nations League round is played between Norway and Sweden, the two selections leading the Nations League B League Group 4. Even though Norway has already won the group, it will be hard for the Scandinavians to get into the European playoffs because they lost in Slovenia and Serbia beat Sweden at home.

Both count on a discreet eleven supported by an excellent midfielder each (Odegaard and Milinkovic-Savic) and by top-class forwards. Håland, while not yet decisive in the crucial matches of his national team, has already scored 21 goals in 22 appearances, an impressive figure when you consider that the average for the national team is usually lower than that in clubs (Ronaldo: 0.62 against 0.74 per game; Messi: 0.54 against 0.82). Serbia can count on the Vlahovic-Mitrovic duo. Even though the second player is from Fulham, he is more important on the national team. His recent hat-trick and the fact that he is doing well in the Premier League are both proof of this.

Form Guide

Norway WWWDWL

Norway’s last Nations League game was against Slovenia, and they lost. They will be looking to get back on track with a better performance.

During that match, Norway held control of the ball for 58% of the time and had 13 shots on goal, with 5 of them finding the target. With 9 shots on goal, Slovenia only managed to get 4 of them on target.

In recent times, games played against Norway have consistently been entertaining contests, with high scores being the norm. Over the course of their most recent half-dozen head-to-head contests, a total of 21 goals have been scored for both teams combined (which works out to an average of 3.5 goals per game), 16 of which have been scored by Norway.

Serbia WLLWWD

Serbia’s most recent encounter in the Nations League was a 4-1 victory against Sweden, and they will bring that momentum into this game with them.

During that game, Serbia held possession for 53% of the time and had 14 shots on goal, with 7 of them finding the target. On the other side of the field, Sweden had ten shots on goal, but only four of them were on target. The goal was scored by Viktor Claesson for Sweden in the 15th minute.

In the most recent six matches that Serbia have participated in, they have had eight of their shots on goal be successful. This results in an average of 1.33 goals scored per game for the Serbian side.

Injured and suspended

Norway: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Serbia: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Norway vs Serbia Predicted XI

Norway Predicted XI: Nyland; Ryerson, Hanche-Olsen, Ostigard, Meling; Odegaard, Berge, Thorsby; Elyounoussi, Haaland, Sorloth.

Serbia Predicted XI: V. Milinkovic-Savic; Babic, Mitrovic, Masovic; Lazovic, Lukic, Ilic, Kostic; Djuricic, Tadic; Mitrovic.

Prediction

We believe that Serbia has what it takes to overcome this Norway team; yet, we do not anticipate that this will be enough to prevent them from losing.

Our prediction is that Norway will emerge victorious in a close match by a score of 2-1 when regulation and extra time are through.

Switzerland vs Czech Republic | Nations League (27.09.2022, 18:45)

This last day of the League of Nations will be crucial for these two selections! Switzerland and the Czech Republic will be fighting to stay in the A Division of European competition. For the moment, Switzerland is in third place in its pool. They arrive with great ambitions! Switzerland has struggled to avoid conceding goals far too frequently in recent matches.

For its part, the Czech Republic will have to win to avoid the danger zone. At the bottom of the standings, the Czech Republic has not been performing very well.

Form Guide

Switzerland DLLLWW

After beating Spain in the Nations League, Switzerland will try to win again.

During that game, Switzerland held just 26% of the possession and had 8 shots on goal, with 4 of those shots hitting the target. Spain had a total of eight shots on goal, four of which were on target.

The fact of the matter is that Switzerland’s defense has been broken into in 5 of their last 6 matches, resulting in a total of 9 goals being conceded along the way.

Czech Republic DWDLLL

After suffering a loss in their previous match in the Nations League competition at the hands of Portugal, both the Czech Republic and its fans will be hoping for a different outcome in this contest.

During that match, the Czech Republic held 43 percent of the possession and had 11 shots on goal, with just two of them finding the target. The Portuguese had 16 shots on goal, but only five of them were on target.

The statistics don’t lie: opponents have scored at least one goal against the Czech Republic in each of their previous six matches, for a total of 12 goals scored by their rivals.

Injured and suspended

Switzerland: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Czech Republic: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Switzerland vs Czech Republic Predicted XI

Switzerland Predicted XI: Sommer; Widmer, Elvedi, Schar, Rodriguez; Sow; Shaqiri, Freuler, Xhaka, Embolo, Vargas.

Czech Republic Predicted XI: Vaclik; Kudela, Zima, Jemelka; Zeleny; Cerny, Coufal, Sevcik, Soucek, Schick, Hlozek.

Prediction

In this match against this Switzerland team, we believe that the Czech Republic has a good chance of scoring a goal; but, we also believe that this goal probably won’t be enough to prevent a loss for the Czech Republic.

Our prediction for this match is that it will be a very close contest, with Switzerland emerging victorious by a score of 2-1 by the time it is through.

Portugal vs Spain | Nations League (27.09.2022, 18:45)

In League A of the UEFA Nations League, the last group match of Group 2 is on the program with the top match between Portugal and Spain. If Spain wants to qualify for the semi-finals, it must take the full loot in Braga. Portugal is the group leader and is 2 points ahead of Spain with 10 points. Portugal booked 10 out of 15 points in its last 5 matches, each of which were matches for the Nations League. It lost at Switzerland (1-0) and went on to win against the Czech Republic (0-4) last Saturday.

Spain’s last five matches have also been dominated by the UEFA Nations League. Luis Enrique’s troops booked 8 out of 15. It drew against Portugal (1-1) and the Czech Republic (1-1), went on to win in Switzerland (0-1), defeated the Czech Republic (2-0) at home, but also lost at home to Switzerland (1-2), forcing it to give up its lead to Portugal.

Form Guide

Portugal WDWWLW

In the next Nations League match, Portugal will be hoping for a result similar to their 0-4 victory against the Czech Republic.

During that game, Portugal held possession for 57% of the time and had 16 shots on goal, with 5 of them finding the target. The Czech Republic, their rivals, had 11 shots on goal, but only two of them were on target.

Their most recent results show that the Portugal back line deserves a great deal of respect, which is something that should already be obvious. In their previous six matches, Portugal have allowed a total of just two goals to be scored against them, making them one of the most defensive teams in the competition.

Spain WDDWWL

As a result of Spain’s defeat in their most recent Nations League match, which took place against Switzerland, the team will be looking to make amends in this contest.

During that encounter, Spain held 74% of the possession and had 8 shots on goal, with 4 of them finding their mark. On the opposite side of the field, Switzerland had eight shots on goal, four of which were on target.

The Spain defenders have turned in a string of extremely good performances recently, which has led to a reduction in the number of goals that their team has let up over the course of their most recent six matches combined. During the same time period, their strikers have scored 11 of their team’s total goals.

Injured and suspended

Portugal: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Spain: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns.

Portugal vs Spain Predicted XI

Portugal Predicted XI: Costa; Dalot, Dias, Pereira, Cancelo; B. Silva, Neves, Palhinha, Fernandes, Ronaldo, Leao.

Spain Predicted XI: Simon; Carvajal, Garcia, Torres, Alba; Sarabia, Koke, Rodri, Pedri; Morata, Torres.

Prediction

We get the impression that Spain is going to need a little luck in order to beat Portugal, a team that we believe will score at least one goal and emerge triumphant from this match.

As a result, we anticipate a very close match, with Portugal emerging victorious by a score of 1-0 once everything has been said and done.

Ukraine vs Scotland | Nations League (27.09.2022, 18:45)

After playing for access to the World Cup in Qatar (which both then missed) in the June playoff semifinal, Scotland and Ukraine find themselves just over three months later fighting for another goal, namely promotion to Nations League A. The match between these two national teams is almost becoming pleasant and positive for the message that sport can give, given the off-pitch circumstances, that is, the nice welcome and the great support that the Scottish fans have offered to the Ukrainian national team during the last two matches played in Scotland. Going back to the field, compared to June, when Ukraine won 1-3 in the play-off final (later losing to Wales), times seem to have changed and the forces on the pitch reversed.

In fact, Scotland achieved four wins in the following (and last) five games while Ukraine not only lost to Wales but slowed down in the group, being defeated by Scotland in the recent match played in the United Kingdom. The last day of the group, however, saw Ukraine make up and “get back in the running” to try to overtake the final head-to-head, thanks to a clear 0-5 victory over Armenia. Now the situation sees Scotland two points ahead, so Ukraine just needs to win. It will be played in Krakow, on neutral ground, as Ukraine has always done in this Nations League, a detail to consider given that the best and most recent Scottish exploits have all been at home.

Form Guide

Ukraine LWWDLW

In the next Nations League match, Ukraine will be hoping for a victory similar to the 0-5 score they earned over Armenia.

During that match, Ukraine held a 64% possession advantage and had 16 shots on goal, with 7 of them finding the back of the net. The number of games in which Ukraine has participated recently that ended with a score of nil is a pattern that has emerged.

Scotland LWLWWD

In their most recent Nations League contest, Scotland defeated Ireland by a score of 2-1. They come into this match with that momentum.

During that game, Scotland held control of the ball for 61% of the time and had 14 shots on goal, with just three of them finding the target. The Republic of Ireland, who were their opponents, had 9 shots on goal, with 4 of them hitting the target.

The Scotland team managed by Steve Clarke has scored 11 goals throughout their last six matches, giving them an average of 1.83 goals scored per game. These goals were scored in a total of six matches.

Injured and suspended

Ukraine: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

Scotland: clean bill of health and no suspension concerns

Ukraine vs Scotland Predicted XI

Ukraine Predicted XI: Lunin; Zabarnyi, Kryvtsov, Matviyenko; Mykolenko; Karavaev, Stepanenko, Ignatenko, Yarmolenko, Dovbyk, Mudryk.

Scotland Predicted XI: Gordon; Hickey, Hendry, McKenna, Tierney; McGregor; Armstrong, McLean, McGinn, Christie; Adams.

Prediction

Even though it’s hard to tell the difference between Scotland and Ukraine, both teams should have enough chances to score.

It is becoming more and more likely that it will end up being a tie. Because of this, we think the game will be very close and end with a score of 1-1 after regulation and overtime.
