With six matches remaining in the 2022–2023 Liga, Barcelona’s lead over Real Madrid in the title race has remained unchanged. Xavi’s Blaugranas won 4-0 against Real Betis in the last round and maintained an 11-point lead over the Merengues. In the match of the next round, that of the 33rd day, which will be played at the Spotify Camp Nou on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Barcelona will face Osasuna. The Pamplona team is eighth in the standings with 44 points and remains in the running for Europe. Arsenal vs Chelsea | Premier League

02/05/2023 20:00

Prediction: 3-1

On Tuesday, May 2nd, Arsenal will challenge Chelsea to try and keep alive their hopes of winning the title. After suffering a defeat at the hands of Manchester City in their head-to-head match, the Gunners are currently one point behind Manchester City but also have one game in hand. At this stage, they are no longer in control of their own destiny; they must always win and hope that Guardiola’s team makes a few mistakes along the way. For Chelsea, however, the disappointing season is turning disastrous, with Lampard slipping into series defeats, and they are now twelfth on 39 points out of all games in the standings.

The Gunners are returning from the 4-1 defeat in the direct clash with Manchester City, which came after three draws in a row with Southampton, West Ham, and Liverpool, where they wasted a lot, especially on the first two occasions. The last success of Arteta’s team is therefore that of April 1st against Leeds. Chelsea are back from back-to-back defeats to Brentford, Brighton, Wolverhampton, and two to Real Madrid to extend the Blues’ run without a win to eight.

  • Chelsea has not won a single one of their last five matches.
  • Arsenal have won four of their last five games at home in the Premier League.
  • 28 of 33 Arsenal league games have finished with an over 1.5, and it’s Chelsea’s.
  • All of the Gunners’ last nine games have finished with at least two goals on the final scoreboard, as have all of the Blues’ last four.
  • Arsenal have the second best attack in the tournament with 78 goals in 33 games.

Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid | La Liga

Prediction: 0-0

The match of the 33rd day of La Liga between Imanol Alguacil’s Real Sociedad and Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid is staged at the Reale Arena in San Sebastian. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Both teams are on course for a place in the Champions League next season. Real Sociedad is fourth in the standings with a +5 over Villarreal, and in the previous round they won in Pamplona on the Osasuna field by 0-2, while Real Madrid are second with a -11 from the leaders. Barcelona leaves little hope for the Merengues: in the last round, Real kept up with the best in the class by beating Almeria 4-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Sociedad without Diego Rico, Sadiq, and Martin Merquelanz; Real Madrid without Modric, Alaba, and Mendy.

  • Real Madrid are unbeaten in 6 games against Real Sociedad, with 3 wins and 3 draws.
  • Real Madrid have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 La Liga games.
  • There have been 10 under 2.5s in Real Sociedad’s last 11 games.
  • In the last 6 head-to-head games at the Real Madrid Arena, there have been 4 wins for Real Madrid, 1 draw, and 1 win for Real Sociedad.

Manchester City vs West Ham United | Premier League

03/05/2023 20:00

Prediction: 3-1

Manchester City have finally climbed to the top of the Premier League and will face West Ham this week in added time on matchday 28. Pep Guardiola’s team won the direct clash with Arsenal and then prevailed 1-2 on the Fulham field, overtaking the Gunners in the standings by one point with still one game left. The Citizens are playing this game now and are looking for victory number 15 in the last 16 official games in what is another season to frame. Haaland and his companions are still in the running on all fronts and nurture the hope of triumphing in every competition, but they must continue at this pace to make the dream come true.

West Ham is not yet sure of its salvation and therefore will come to the Etihad trying to come out with some points to move further in the standings. David Moyes’ men, without Scamacca due to injury, have lost their last two games against Liverpool and Crystal Palace and are currently +5 clear of the relegation zone. Before the last knockout, however, the Londoners were doing well and hoped to restart in the best possible way. In the first leg at the London Stadium, it was 0-2 for City, with a brace from the usual Haaland.

  • With 84 goals in 32 Premier League games, Manchester City have an established average of 2.6 goals per game.
  • West Ham have not done well away from home so far in the Premier League: 10 defeats in 16 matches.
  • 34 goals in 30 league games: with Haaland, City really started from 1-0.
  • Between cup and league, in the last 7 meetings with West Ham, City have never scored more than 2 goals.
